At Millar Arena in Houlton, Malik Abouleish turned aside all 24 shots he faced as the Black Hawks picked up the win. Morgan Hall’s goal 8:26 into the first period started Houlton-Houlton (7-9-1) to its win. Cody Briggs and Nick Chase contributed goals, while Logan Holmes posted an assist. Josh MacFarline made 21 saves on 24 shots for the 7-7-3 Presque Isle Wildcats.

Husson 87, Johnson State 62

Bradford scores 1,000th point

At Bangor, Brock Bradford scored his 1,000th career point as Husson College topped Johnson State College. Bradford had 10 points on the night and recorded his 1,000th point with 11:34 remaining in the first half. Matt MacKenzie led Husson with 21 points. Scott Kissinger scored 19 and Nick Perras added 15. Blaine Meehan had 11 points, six steals and five assists, and Bradford chipped in with nine assists. Bobby Shedd led Johnson State with 17 points. John Foley scored 16 points.

Thomas 59, Green Mountain 52

At Waterville, Isaiah Brathwaite had 15 points and four assists as Thomas College beat Green Mountain College. Andrew Duncanson scored 11 points for the Terriers and Darrell Alexander added 10 points. Fabian Ferreira led Green Mountain with 12 points. Rui Carmo scored 11 points.

Colby 61, Connecticut College 47

At Waterville, Artie Cutrone scored 19 points to help lift Colby College over Connecticut College. Michael Russell had 14 points for the Mules. Shavar Bernier led Connecticut College with 16 points. Dean Lampe added 14 points.

UM-Farmington 89, Castleton 83

At Farmington, Josh Tanguay shot 11-for-11 from the floor en route to a game-high 24 points as the Beavers held off a rally by the Spartans. Eric Lelansky added 14 points for UMF, Eric Taylor posted 13 points and 10 rebounds and Andrew Dean had 11 points. Marcus Hass’ 20 points topped the Spartans, who cut a 23-point deficit to five with just over a minute to play. Kevin Cayea had 16 points.

Bowdoin 72, Wesleyan 46

At Brunswick, Mark Phillips scored 19 points to lead Bowdoin College past Wesleyan University. Tim Lane scored 14 points for the Polar Bears and Ryan O’Connell added 10 points. Jason Mendell scored 17 points to lead Wesleyan.

MMA 94, Lyndon State 83

At Castine, Jake Manner scored 22 points, Jarred Sternbergh posted 19 and Derek DiFrederico added 18, including his 1,000th career point, as the Mariners topped the Hornets. Bryant Ciomei and Paul Campbell put up 12 points each for Maine Maritime Academy. Cesar Martinez led Lyndon with 30 points.

Husson 67, Johnson State 53

At Bangor, Bree Hanscom had 22 points and seven rebounds as Husson University topped Johnson State College. Shelby Bradford added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles. Claudia Martineau paced Johnson State with 12 points. Jenna Lewis scored 10 points.

Colby 71, Connecticut College 61

At New London, Conn., Alison Cappelloni scored 27 points as Colby College outscored Connecticut College 46-32 in the second half to pick up the win. Rachael Mack scored 21 points for the Mules and Aarika Ritchie added 11 points. Jennifer Shinall led Connecticut College with 20 points while Jacqueline Shinall added 15 points.

MMA 64, Lyndon State 59

At Castine, Jessica Stahl scored a career-high 17 points to pace the Mariners. Tatum Welch added 16 points for Maine Maritime Academy. Naomi White’s 12 points topped the Hornets.

UM-Farmington 71, Castleton 56

At Farmington, Caitlyn Laflin popped in a game-high 18 points as the Beavers pulled out to a 21-point advantage en route to the win over the Spartans. Ashley Busque took charge early, scoring all 16 of her points in the first half. Erin Porter of Bangor added 15 points for UMF. Laura Cary led the Spartans with a dozen points.

Bowdoin 63, Wesleyan 52

At Middletown, Conn., Jill Henrikson scored 19 points to help Bowdoin win and move one step closer to claiming the top seed in the NESCAC Tournament. Bowdoin can secure the top seed and homecourt advantage with a win over Connecticut College Saturday. Caitlin Hynes added 15 points for the Polar Bears of Brunswick and Katie Bergeron put in 11. Lucy Sprung paced Wesleyan with 16 points.

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY

Connecticut 3, Maine 1

At Orono, University of Connecticut scored three third-period goals to rally past the University of Maine. Brittany Murphy, Nicole Tritter and Amy Hollstein scored for the 19-9-3 Huskies. Brittany Wilson saved 20 of 21 shots. Myriam Croussette scored at 5:20 in the first period for 5-22-3 Maine with assists from Vanessa Vani and Ashley Norum. Genevieve Turgeon turned away 38 of 41 shots.
