FALMOUTH, Maine — Maine Audubon has a new person at the top.

The Falmouth-based conservation group announced Thursday that it has selected Ted Koffman of Bar Harbor to be its new executive director. Koffman is a former legislator who works as an administrator at College of the Atlantic. He’ll be on the job starting May 1.

Koffman replaces Kevin Carley, who stepped down in August to take a job with the Peace Corps.

Maine Audubon bills itself as the state’s oldest and largest conservation organization.
