Is it time to test all professional athletes?

With recent reports alleging that Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees used

performance enhancing drugs, is it time to routinely test all professional athletes for

banned substances? Would the associations representing players allow such testing? Is it

fair to do so, or is such testing tantamount to assuming guilt over innocence? Will the

audience for professional sports lose interest with the apparent prevalence of drug use?
