today’s poll

Have you had a flu shot this year?

Yes

No

The 20 cases were included in the latest weekly influenza surveillance report from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Hospitals, which use a faster but less sophisticated screening test, have reported 40 cases so far.

With widespread flu reported in the Midwest and the Washington, D.C., area, health care providers say it’s just a matter of time before the virus travels north and affects more people in Maine.

Doctors say it’s not too late to get a flu shot.
