Bangor police seeking suspects in mall area thefts

BANGOR — City police are on the lookout for two men suspected of stealing several thousands of dollars worth of merchandise Thursday from three stores in the Bangor Mall area.

Merchandise was taken from Best Buy, Toys R Us and Target.

According to police reports, witnesses describe the suspects as white males in their 20s.One suspect was wearing a blue jacket with a white V shape on the sleeves. The other was wearing a dark sweatshirt jacket with a zipper in the front, light pants and a dark knit hat, possibly with the word “Kawasaki” on the front.

The vehicle they are believed to have been using when the crimes were committed is described as a tan-colored Mercury Sable or Ford Taurus sedan. Two similar license plate numbers were provided to police, but so far police have been unable to match the numbers to the suspect vehicle.
