Calais 66, Madawaska 53

At Calais, Jordan Leeman netted 18 points to lead Calais to victory over Madawaska. Cal Shorey and Jeremy Carr added 16 points each for the Blue Devils, who avenged their only loss of the season with the victory. Michael Cannan led Madawaska with 15 points while Deejay Gendreau scored 14.

Bucksport 60, Ellsworth 55 (OT)

At Bucksport, Dom Kone netted 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Bucksport defeated Ellsworth in overtime. Jon Goodin added 13 points for the Golden Bucks. Brad Folmer paced Ellsworth with 14 points. Ryan Petros scored 12 points while Jordan Carter added 11.

Shead 64, Elan 50

At Bangor, Wayne Clossey netted 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Shead of Eastport to victory. Justin Lewey tallied 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers. Jack Peter paced Elan of Poland with 18 points. Sumner Queen and Jordan Vachon added 15 points apiece.

Lee 77, Deer Isle-Stonington 51

At Lee, A.J. Harris tallied 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists to propel Lee Academy by Deer Isle-Stonington. Tyler Doty netted 17 points and had five assists while Dean MacDonald added 15 points for the Pandas. Eben Powers scored 15 points to pace Deer Isle-Stonington while Dustin Powers chipped in with 11.

Presque Isle 68, Foxcroft 35

At Presque Isle, Russ Mortland netted 26 points with six 3-pointers to spark Presque Isle by Foxcroft Academy for the Wildcats’ 13th consecutive win. Josiah Richard led Foxcroft with 13 points while Ian Champeon chipped in with 10.

Bangor Christian 54, Katahdin 44

At Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor, Tyler Alexander scored eight of his game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter as the Patriots pulled away from Katahdin of Stacyville. The game was tied at 36-36 entering the final period but Alexander went 6-of-6 from the free-throw line and added a basket to help Bangor Christian earn its third win. Alexander also grabbed 12 rebounds, while Brett Bradford added 15 points for Bangor Christian. Brandon Robinson led Katahdin with 16 points, while Evan McCarthy scored 13.

Caribou 30, Hermon 28

At Caribou, Sam Robertson scored 15 points as Caribou ended Hermon’s nine-game winning streak. Cameron Anderson chipped in with 11 points for the Vikings. Andy Ball led Hermon with 11 points.

Orono 57, Penobscot Valley 46

At Howland, Lee Hecker scored 14 points to lead Orono to victory over Penobscot Valley. Nate Paul posted 11 points while Kash Keezer added 10 for the Red Riots. Joey McCloskey led Penobscot Valley with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

Penquis 52, Dexter 42

At Milo, Bryan Russell scored 10 points and was the only double-digit scorer in the game as he helped lead the Penquis Valley Patriots past Dexter. Andrew Lary scored nine for the visiting Tigers.

Old Town 42, Central 33

At Corinth, Zak Kochis scored eight of his game-high 13 points in the third quarter as the Coyotes pulled away from the Red Devils. Luke Bartlett added 10 points for Old Town, and Bronson Merry had nine. Jake Blanchard led Central with eight points.

Woodland 71, Machias 23

At Machias, Molly White registered 14 points to lead Woodland to victory over Machias. Taylor Cochran netted 12 points while Julia Nicholas added 10 for the Dragons.

Deer Isle-Stonington 48, Lee 34

At Lee, Audra Eaton connected for 17 points to lead Deer Isle-Stonington past Lee Academy. Anika Powers added 14 points for the Mariners. Camisha Doten and Kellsey Grass paced Lee Academy with 10 points each.

Ellsworth 45, Bucksport 44

At Bucksport, Sarah Stanley scored a two-pointer with three seconds remaining in regulation to give Ellsworth its first win. Stanley led Ellsworth with 21 points while Marissa Johnson scored 12 points. Sadie Wight led Bucksport with 13 points. Liz Beeson had 11 points and 13 rebounds and Jaimie Lanpher added 13 rebounds and nine points.

Calais 62, Jonesport-Beals 42

At Calais, Nicole Osborne led four Calais scorers in double figures with 15 points as the Blue Devils improved to 11-1. Kelli Cross scored 12 points while Courtney Hill and Tessa Clark added 11 points apiece for Calais. Hannah Carver tallied 17 points to pace Jonesport-Beals.

John Bapst 53, Orono 37

At Orono, Sam Gormley scored eight of her game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter to lead the John Bapst Crusaders of Bangor by Orono. Morgan Chasse had 17 points for the Crusaders. Ally Sherman had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Riots.

Penquis 51, Schenck 47

At East Millinocket, Erica Lyford tallied 21 points to power Penquis of Milo past Schenck. Laura Nicholson scored 20 points to pace Schenck.

Presque Isle 53, Foxcroft 32

At Presque Isle, Sarah Porter scored 14 points as Presque Isle defeated Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft. Kayla Richards scored 13 points for the Wildcats and Chelsea Nickerson added 10 points. Vanessa Lougee paced the Ponies with 15 points.

Bangor Christian 43, Katahdin 35

At Bangor, Kelly Robinson scored nine of her game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter to lead Bangor Christian by Katahdin. Robinson also finished with 16 rebounds for the Patriots. Olivia McNally paced Katahdin with 13 points while Melissa Duffy added 10.

Central Aroostook 56, Ashland 18

At Mars Hill, Kristen Long scored 16 points and posted 11 rebounds to lead Central Aroostook by Ashland. Vicki McIntyre scored 14 points and had six steals for the Panthers. Taylor Baker led Ashland with six points.

At Dyer Brook, Brittany Charette scored 14 points as Southern Aroostook earned its 12th win of the season. Bethany Emery led Greater Houlton Christian with six points.

Hampden 4, Skowhegan 3

At Penobscot Ice Arena, Brewer, Josh Tardiff scored three unassisted goals, including the winner 17 seconds into the third period, to lead Hampden Academy to victory over Skowhegan. It was Tardiff’s second hat trick of the season for the 2-9 Broncos. Tom Hoffman added a goal and Tom Burger provided an assist. Jacob Ward turned away 18 of 21 shots. Dillin Dudek scored two goals to lead 3-6-1 Skowhegan. Cam Harlow also scored while Alex Gilbert, Isaac Lagasse and Corey Rourke had assists. Jimmy Quirion stopped 37 of 41 shots.

St. Dominic 3, Brewer 1

At Penobscot Ice Arena, Brewer, Richard Paradis and Alex Parker each had a goal and an assist to lead St. Dominic of Auburn past Brewer. Ben Randall scored for 6-4 St. Dom’s and Casey Parker provided an assist. Shayne Curtis made 26 saves off 27 shots. Dylan Fitzpatrick scored an unassisted goal in the second period for the 9-2-1 Witches. Eric White saved 26 of 29 shots.

Waterville 3, Bangor 2 (OT)

At Bangor, Nick Deblois scored two goals, including the game-winning goal 1:46 into overtime, to lift Waterville past Bangor. Shawn Lee added a goal for Waterville. Nolan MacDonnell stopped 20 of 22 shots for the 10-1 Panthers. Chad Kelley and Cameron Taylor each scored a goal for Bangor while Johnny Warren had an assist. Zack Hamilton made 31 saves on 34 shots for the 8-3 Rams. JV: Bangor 1-0

At Castine Saturday, Rich Bailey scored the game-winning basket with six seconds left in double overtime as the Eagles earned the victory. Rui Carmo led 9-5 Green Mountain with 18 points, and eight rebounds, while Bailey added 17 points. Jake Manner had 17 poings and a career-high 18 rebounds for 5-11 Maine Maritime Academy. Derek DiFrederico also scored 17 points, while Jarred Sternbergh had 11 points and 12 rebounds and Mike Wharff scored 12 points on four 3-pointers.

St. Joseph’s, 84, Albertus Magnus 73

At Standish Saturday, Tyler Kelley scored 24 points and Ray Eatmon had 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the victorious Monks. Walden St. Juste and Bobby Leonzo scored 11 points each for Albertus Magnus.

UM-Farmington 82, Lyndon State 56

At Farmington Saturday, Ted Neil shot 8 of 12 from beyond the 3-point arc and scored 26 points overall to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to the win. Eric Lelansky added 20 points, including four 3-pointers, while Pat Howell and Josh Tanguay each had eight points and 11 rebounds. Cesar Martinez scored 17 points for Lyndon (Vt.) State.

UM-Machias 76, St. Joseph (Vt.) 69

At Machias Saturday, Zach Armstrong’s 13 points helped the University of Maine at Machias earn the Sunrise Conference victory. Brian Alexander scored 12 points and Gerardo Vasquez 11 for the Clippers. Brad Drysdale scored a game-high 18 points for the College of St. Joseph.

Bowdoin 89, Tufts 81

At Medford, Mass., Saturday, Kyle Jackson scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds as Bowdoin of Brunswick sent Tufts to its fourth straight loss. Jon Pierce scored a game-high 36 points for Tufts. Bangor’s Aaron Gallant added nine points.

Thomas 87, Johnson State 80

At Waterville Saturday, Isaiah Brathwaite scored 22 pioits and Andrew Duncanson added 18 as the Terriers edged Johnson (Vt.) State. Shawn Rodgers added 17 points and Michael Burchill 10 for Thomas. John Foley’s 33 points paced Johnson State.

Colby 65, Bates 59

At Lewiston Saturday, Colby of Waterville outscored Bates 23-15 over the last 7½ minutes to rally for the victory. Artie Cutrone paced the Mules with 18 points, six rebounds and four assists. Adam Choice added 17 points. Chris Wilson of Brewer scored 13 points to lead Bates.

Husson 94, Castleton State 78

At Bangor Saturday, Matt MacKenzie scored 23 points and Jay Uhrin added 18 to propel the Eagles to the victory. Scott Kissinger added 13 points for Hussin, while Brock Bradford and Blaine Meehan each scored 10. Kevin Cayea led Castleton (Vt.) State with 15 points.

UMFK 97, SUNY Canton 66

At Fort Kent Saturday, Brandon Fox had 22 points and 12 rebounds as the University of Maine at Fort Kent defeated State University of New York-Canton. Othniel Hyliger, Jimmy Lopez, Hamill Bassue and Ilija Kalajdzic had 12 points apiece. Antonio Valentin led SUNY Canton with 19 points.

UMFK 97, Paul Smith’s 76

At Fort Kent, the University of Maine at Fort Kent out scored Paul Smith’s College by 18 points in the second half to claim the win Sunday. Brandon Fox scored 20 points for the Bengals. Hamill Bassue had 18 points and nine rebounds, Ilija Kalajdzic scored 16 points, Yair Gal had 15 points and Othniel Hyliger chipped in 12 points. Trevor Dupont led Paul Smith’s with 27 points while Jimmy Noel added 22 points.

UM-Presque Isle splits

At Presque Isle, Ronald Spencer scored 22 points as the University of Maine at Presque Isle beat Paul Smith’s College 90-86 Saturday. State University of New York at Canton topped UMPI on Sunday 106-100. On Saturday, Ben Rosser had 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Owls. Loren Fawthrop scored 18 points. Trevor Dupont led Paul Smith’s with 19 points. On Sunday, Tony Valentin led the Roos with 39 points. Silvon John added 32 points and 23 rebounds. Ronald Spencer paced UMPI with 30 points. Rosser added 29 points and 16 rebounds. Jordan Guy scored 15 points and Anthony Wingate added 12 points.

UM-Machias 80, Vermont Tech 77

At Machias, Zach Armstrong scored 21 points to help lead the University of Maine at Machias to victory over Vermont Tech Sunday. Gerardo Vasquez scored 16 points for the Clippers. Eric Righter had 13 points and Matt Nelson added 11 points. Sean Smith led Vermont Tech with 35 points. Odiri Emadu scored 17 points.

MCI Prep 77, EMCC 68

At Bangor, David Gebru tallied 21 points to lead Maine Central Institute Prep by Eastern Maine Community College. Mitch Rolls scored 18 points while Malino Brock posted 12 points and Eric Bland added 10 for the Huskies. Adam Knowles led EMCC with a game-high 25 points. At Fort Kent, Talisha Herring totaled 16 points and 11 assists to lift the University of Maine at Fort Kent over the State University of New York-Canton Saturday. Ashley Ames also scored 16 points while chipping in six blocks for the Bengals. Kristen Violette added 14 points and eight rebounds. Shannon LaFave paced the Kangaroos with 18 points.

St. Joe’s 67, Albertus Magnus 60

At Standish, Megan McDevitt scored 19 points as Saint Joseph’s College held off Albertus Magnus College Saturday. Alysn Ludwig scored 16 points for the Lady Monks. Carolyn Freeman had 10 points and eight rebounds. Nikki McClease paced Albertus Magnus with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

UM-Farmington 77, Lyndon 65

At Farmington, Caitlyn Laflin had 19 points, 13 rebounds and four assists to lead the University of Maine at Farmington past Lyndon State College Saturday. Jillian Ross scored 17 points for the Beavers while Erin Porter added 14 points and Ashley Busque had 12 points. Jen Stoddard-Imari totaled 23 points and eight rebounds for Lyndon State.

Bates 71, Colby 52

At Waterville, Val Beckwith had 28 points and eight rebounds as Bates College of Lewiston topped Colby College by 19 points Saturday. Lauren Yanofsky had 11 points and five assists for Bates. Rachael Mack scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Colby. Sam Allen had 14 points and four assists.

Tufts 67, Bowdoin 56

At Brunswick, Tufts University out scored Bowdoin College 39-28 in the second half to claim victory Saturday. Colleen Hart had 12 points, five assists and four steals to pace Tufts. Kim Moynihan scored 11 points. Alexa Kaubris had 13 points and nine rebounds to lead Bowdoin. Katie Bergeron also scored 13 points.

Johnson State 66, Thomas 52

At Waterville, Claudia Martineau scored 20 points as Johnson State College beat Thomas College Saturday. Jenna Lewis added 15 points for Johnson State. Jessa Nassetta scored 17 points for Thomas. Cortney Barrett had 12 points and Mallorie Blakney chipped in 10 points.

Husson 61, Castleton State 58

At Bangor, Husson University outscored Castleton State College 28-17 in the second half to rally for victory Saturday. Shelby Bradford had 21 points, 16 rebounds and four assists to pace Husson. Bree Hanscom added 14 points and four steals. Jess Banks scored 16 points to lead Castleton State.

Green Mountain 66, MMA 64

At Castine, Christina Chamberlin had 21 points and 13 rebounds as Green Mountain College beat Maine Maritime Academy in overtime Saturday. Molly Hopper added 14 points and 12 rebounds for Green Mountain. Tatum Welch led the Lady Mariners with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jessica Stahl scored 13 points while Katie Pushard had 12 points and Samantha Goda had 11 rebounds.

Keene State 64, So. Maine 51

At Keene, N.H., Kristin Degou scored 14 points as Keene State College topped the University of Southern Maine of Gorham Saturday. Nicole Simmler had 12 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for Keene State. Nicole Paradis paced the Huskies with 12 points. Kaylie DeMillo had 11 points, Nicole Garland added 10 points and Kristi Violette chipped I eight points and eight rebounds.

At Presque Isle, University of Maine at Presque Isle out scored State University of New York at Canton 45-33 in the second half to claim victory Sunday. Erica Davis totaled 34 points, 15 rebounds and seven steals to pace the Owls. Megan Korhonen added 14 points and nine assists and Emily Moore scored 14 points. Jackie Maynard led the Roos with 21 points and 15 rebounds.

New Hampshire 5, Maine 1

At Durham, N.H., Jenn Wakefield scored two goals as the University of New Hampshire beat the University of Maine Saturday. Courtney Birchard, Sarah Cuthbert and Raylen Dziengelewski also scored for 13-5-5 New Hampshire. Maggie Joyce provided three assists. Lindsey Minton stopped 18 of 19 shots. Jennie Gallo scored at 8:38 in the first to put the 4-19-2 Black Bears up 1-0. Jenna Ouellette and Kathy Cahill provided assists. Genevieve Turgeon turned away 47 of 52 shots.
