BRADLEY – George L. Therrien, 66, passed away peacefully Jan. 20, 2009, with his family by his side. He was born Feb. 24, 1942, in Old Town, the son of Leo and Evelyn (Willette) Therrien. He was a graduate of Old Town High School, Class of 1960. George will fondly be remembered for his kindness and generosity, as well as his sense of humor. Family was always first in his heart and he is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Morrison) Therrien; 11 children, Sheila (Therrien) Benway and husband, Dwayne, Scott Therrien and his wife, Amy, Georgia (Therrien) Pelletier and husband, Tom, Joyce (Jackson) Thurston and husband, Brian, Gloria (Jackson) Martin and husband, Steve, Julie (Jackson) Kennedy and husband, Larry, Gail (Jackson) Thurston and husband, Ron, Laura (Jackson) Dow, Annette Jackson, Rosemary (Perdikis) Nadeau and husband, Tim, and Allen Paradis and wife, Katrina; a brother, Wayne Therrien and wife, Beverly; a sister, Carol (Therrien) Leblanc and husband, David; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Evelyn; a daughter, Margaret Mary Therrien; as well as a grandson, Braden Dana Therrien. At George’s request, there will be no sadness – only reflections of your treasured memories and shared laughter. You are invited to a celebration of George’s life 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
