GERALDINE ‘GERRY’ GILLEN

BLAINE – Geraldine “Gerry” Gillen, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Jan. 16, 2009, at a Houlton health care facility. Gerry was born March 12, 1912, in Crystal, to Levi and Annie (West) Downing. Gerry was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Chapel, Blaine. She lived a full and rewarding life in Blaine, where she and her late husband, Henry, raised two children and among other employment, had a ceramic business together for several years. Gerry is survived by her son, Richard and his wife, Judy, of Blaine; her daughter, Bonnie Wotton of Monticello; along with six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry “Red” Gillen; son-in-law, Earl Wotton; and granddaughter, Cindy Lou Wotton. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Chapel with Pastors Lawrence Beals, Carl DeMerchant and Robert Chamberlain officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Spring interment will be at East Blaine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Faith Baptist Chapel or C.E.F., P.O.
