Selectman nominations sought in St. Albans

ST. ALBANS, Maine — Nomination papers are available at the St. Albans Town Office for the position of selectman after last week’s resignation by William Keating for undisclosed reasons.

The position would fill Keating’s unexpired term that runs from March 7, 2009, to March 2011.

Papers also are available for three budget committee members, each for a three-year-term, town clerk for a one-year-term, school board member for three years and a three-year selectman’s seat, now filled by Chairman Marion Spalding.

The deadline for filing papers is Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Municipal elections will be held on Friday, March 6, with the annual town meeting held the next day, Saturday, March 7.
