SPRINGFIELD, Maine — A winner has come forward with a winning lottery jackpot ticket that was sold at a northern Maine store.

The winning Tri-State Megabucks ticket, worth $550,000, was sold at Smith’s General Store in the Penobscot County town of Springfield.

Lottery officials say the winner came forward on Friday and now has five days to decide whether to take a lump sum of $275,000 or an annual payout of $22,000 for 25 years. The ticket holder’s name has not been released.
