Fire damages York office building

The Associated Press

YORK, Maine — For the second night in a row, firefighters were called to battle a fire in an office complex in southern Maine.

Firefighters on Saturday night were called to a blaze at the Cottage Place complex in York, which houses about a dozen small businesses and several condominiums.

Officials say the fire was contained to two rooms on the second floor of the complex, and that no injuries were reported.

The fire in York came just 24 hours after a fire on Route 1 in Yarmouth caused an estimated $2 million to $4 million dollars in damage to one of the town’s largest commercial buildings.

Both fires are under investigation.
