3 guns reported stolen from home in Milo

MILO, Maine — Police on Monday were investigating the theft of three guns from a Park Street home and vehicle.

The guns reportedly were taken sometime during the Christmas holiday when the owner, a long-distance trucker, was away, according to Milo Police Chief Michael Poulin.

Poulin said a Winchester Model 94 shotgun and a 20-gauge, single-shot shotgun were taken from a vehicle. A third rifle, believed to have been a Remington, was taken from the victim’s home.

Two rings valued at $580 also were reported missing from the residence.

There appeared to be no forced entry into the home or the vehicle, according to the police chief.

Anyone with information about the missing items should contact the Milo Police Department at 943-2522.
