Home invasion reported in Holden

By Jessica Bloch, BDN Staff

HOLDEN, Maine — Police were investigating a home invasion Christmas night that occurred sometime after 6:30 p.m. in a mobile home park just off U.S. Route 1A.

Holden Police Chief Gene Worcester said officials had only sketchy details about the incident. A man entered a residence in the Cedar Haven Mobile Home Park, where a man and a woman were inside, and held them at gunpoint for a matter of minutes before leaving, Worcester said.

There were no injuries.

Worcester said the two people, who are acquaintances, told police they did not know the invader. The male victim was a resident of the mobile home, and the woman was a former resident who had gone to pick up some of her belongings, the chief said.

It was not clear whether the invader escaped the area on foot or in a car. Worcester did not release the names of the victims, and knew just a possible first name of the invader but would not say what it was.

Brewer police also went to the scene and Maine State Police were assisting.
