CAMDEN, Maine — Flames have destroyed a building that was under renovation along the Camden waterfront.

The blaze broke out early Tuesday evening at the building off Bayview Street that was being converted into a restaurant and inn. No injuries were reported.

Camden Fire Chief Chris Farley says firefighters arrived to find the front of the building ablaze and flames burning through several floors.

An investigator from the state Fire Marshal’s Office was sifting through the rubble to try to determine what caused the fire.
