Though the weekend ice storm impacted Southern Maine in terms of power outages more
than central, eastern and northern parts of the state, many did lose electricity. Are Maine’s
electric utilities keeping up with tree limb cutting so that when an ice storm hits, there are
fewer wires down? Or are such storms truly an “act of God,” to which the utilities can
only respond when they hit. Have the utilities been responsive to your calls about dead
trees and encroaching branches?
