Swanville man injures head in rollover

David Newton, 19, of Swanville was taken by ambulance to Waldo County General Hospital with a head cut after rolling his Ford pickup truck on High Street in Belfast on Saturday afternoon. Patrolman Eric Kelly said Newton struck a patch of ice and skidded out of control on a curve at approximately 2:15 p.m. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Kelly said.
