EVANGELINE AUBE LAPOINTE

MADAWASKA – Evangeline Aube Lapointe, 96, passed away Dec. 10, 2008, with her family by her side at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born Dec. 1, 1912, in Bathurst, New Brunswick, the daughter of Telesphore and Elizabeth (Elsliger) Aube. She is survived by two daughters, Mae Rita Cyr and her husband, Jim, of Madawaska and Bonita Roy and her husband, Joel, of Enfield, Conn.; six grandchildren, Douglas, Candace, Curtis, Joella, Tonia and Kenneth; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Adelard Aube and Camille Aube, both of Edmundston, Canada; two sisters, Leah Picard of Quebec and Florence Leblanc of Shediack, Canada; many nieces and nephews. Evangeline was predeceased by her husband, George Lapointe in 1986; by three brothers, Edgar, Ernest and Martin; and by two sisters, Cecile and Lillian. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where family and friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday. Spring interment will be held at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evangeline’s memory may be made to St. Joseph Nursing Home Activities Fund, P.O. Box 469, Frenchville, ME 04745. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home, Madawaska.
