Two women injured in 2-car Palmyra crash

PALMYRA, Maine — Inattention is being blamed for a two-car crash Thursday afternoon that injured two women on Route 2.

Patricia Bickford, 37, of Fairfield was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla west on Route 2, according to Maine State Trooper Jon Brown, when a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, operated by Myra Rines, 77, of Palmyra turned in front of her to enter Lang Hill Road.

Both women were taken to Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield by ambulance and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, Brown said.
