Woman sentenced in Maine for cocaine distribution

PORTLAND, Maine — A 29-year-old Connecticut woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in trafficking cocaine and crack cocaine in Maine.

Kim Knight of Norwich, Conn., was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Portland.

Knight was one of 14 people charged with participating in a conspiracy to transport large quantities of cocaine from Connecticut to the Biddeford area of Maine in 2006 and 2007.

Prosecutors say 13 of those people have pleaded guilty.
