Bangor artists plan open houses tonight


BANGOR, Maine — Central Street Studios, a new group of 11 artists who all have studios downtown, will be holding two concurrent receptions and open houses in two different locations from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Artists Greg Bennett, Cheryl Daigle, Nathan Slobodkin and Emily Leonard Trenholm will be in their studios located at 31 Central St. on the second and third floors. Artists Sally Gilbert, Andrea Hand, Tree Heckler, Deborah Jellison, Sergio Ramos and Angela Warren will be in their studios at 9 Central St., on the third floor.

The studios will be open for visitors and some work will also be displayed in Central Street Yoga, which is also in the 9 Central St. building.

The artists focus on a variety of work from fiber arts to creative writing to musical instruments, as well as traditional painting, photography and portraiture.
