EAGLE LAKE and ALLAGASH – Eva (Mullins) Gardner, 87, died peacefully Nov. 15, 2008, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Allagash, the daughter of Lee and Mealy (Castonguay) Mullins. Eva belonged to Mountain View Bible Church, Eagle Lake. She also loved the outdoors, especially fishing. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She is survived by four sons, Lester and his wife, Beulah, of Bangor, Elbert and his wife, Janice, of Allagash, Wilbur and Ron of Portland, and Gary and his wife, Paula, of Eagle Lake; four daughters, Annie and her husband, Niles McBreairty, of Guilford, Judy Hafford of Allagash, Diane Weimer of Glen-dora, Calif.; and Patricia and her husband, Louie Pelletier Jr., of Allagash. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchil-dren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Wilbur Gardner in 1984; one son, Danny; two sisters, Bertha Jackson and Mary Ann Jackson; one brother, known to the family as “Son”. Memorial services for Eva will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Allagash Municipal Center, Allagash. Pastor Gary Gardner will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607. Arrangements are a service of Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
