Two elected to council in Old Town voting

OLD TOWN, Maine — Voters on Tuesday supported two Old Town residents, David Mahan and Scott Laflamme, in their bids for seats on the City Council.

Mahan received 3,082 votes and Laflamme received 2,864 votes. David Fiacco of 121 Fourth St. received the most write-in votes — 22 — and will fill the third available seat on the council. Councilors serve three-year terms.

School board candidates Donna Conary, with 2,986 votes, Gerald Herlihy, with 2,755 votes, and James Dill, with 2,683 votes, were elected to fill the three available Old Town school board positions.
