KOSSUTH TOWNSHIP Grace A. Ladd, 91, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1917, in Winthrop, the daughter of Arthur P. and Inez M. (Ford) Allen. Grace worked for her father up until she married her husband, Virgil, who was a game warden. Together, they shared the love of the outdoors hunting fishing and gardening. Grace attended Springfield Congregational Church where she also had many friends. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Fred Ladd; many nieces and nephews; very close friend, Christine Bunker and her husband, George; and good friend, Rose Bean. She was predeceased by her husband, Virgil. A memorial service will be held noon Saturday at Springfield Congregational Church, Springfield, with Pastor Alice Lester officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday. A graveside service will be held a later date at Mercer-Ladd Family Cemetery. A service of Brookings-Smith.
