ST. GEORGE, Maine — Josiah R. Wilson of St. George has announced plans to wage a write-in campaign for Maine Senate District 22 seat, which includes all of Knox County except Friendship and Washington.

“I’m pulling a Ross Perot,” Wilson, 27, said in a press release. I’ve lived here my entire life and wouldn’t trade it for all the world has to offer. I’d like to keep it that way too. I’m very disappointed with the state government and our representation there.”

Wilson is a commercial lobster fisherman, tutor, writer, Domino’s employee, and Maine School Administrative District 50 School Board member.

“The challenges we face as a state are immense,” Wilson said. “It starts with the repeal of this restrictive school consolidation law. That is my primary focus. After that, doors will open. People must be heard here.”
