BUCKSPORT – Earleen A. Clement, 61, died Oct. 30, 2008, at a Bangor hospital after an extended period of failing health. She was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Castine, the daughter of Earl “Buddy” Gross and Dorothy (King) Moody. She graduated from Bucksport High School, Class of 1965 and from Delor Beauty School in 1966. Earleen was a member of Bucksmills Rod and Gun Club; very active with the Bucksport 4-H Club, the Busy Bees, from age 9, to a leader for more than 15 years; and also worked with the Bucksport Wrestling Boosters program for 20 years. Earleen helped run the family farm, “RoundTuit” for many years. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a mother to many others. She is survived by her husband of nearly 42 years, Floyd A. Clement of Bucksport; her mother, Dorothy Moody of Bucksport; three sons, Kevin Clement and wife, Barb, of College Station, Texas, Larry Clement and wife, Michelle, of Bucksport and Earl “Buddy” Clement and wife, Jodi, of Bucksport; two beautiful grandchildren, Brianna and Jillian, both of Bucksport; a sister, Peggy Dunbar and companion, Wade Furrow, of Jackson; stepbrothers, Robert Moody and wife, Grethe, of Lincoln, Byron Moody and wife, Sandy, of Rockledge, Fla., and Jeffrey Moody and wife, Connie, of Titusville, Fla.; brothers-in-law, Ralph Clement and wife, Jean, of Bucksport and Norman Clement of Bucksport; sisters-in-law, Virginia Dow of Bucksport, Bertha Coleman and husband, Dan, of Bucksport, Ramona Backman and husband, Dan, of Winter Harbor and Rozina Astbury of Orland; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Earl “Buddy” Gross; sister, Nancy Gross; stepfather, Ardine Moody; sister-in-law, Winona Seekins; brother-in-law, Edmund Clement; mother-in-law, Laura Clement; father-in-law, Maynard Clement; and step-brother, Dwayne Moody. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Franklin Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, East Bucksport, with a gathering afterward at Bucksmills Rod and Gun Club.
