CORINNA – Marion R. Cooley, 72, the wife of Frederick Cooley, died Oct. 22, 2008, at her residence after a long illness. She was born April 12, 1936, in Dexter, the daughter of Robert and Freda (Brown) Bennett. Marion was a member and had served in many offices of Cleora Rebekah Lodge of Corinna and at the time of her death was president of Senior Citizens Club of Corinna. Many people will remember her talent for knitting and crocheting items, and crafts for sale and gift giving for many years. In addition to her husband of Corinna, Marion is survived by two sons, Raymond Cooley and Lisa of Watertown, N.Y., and Robert of Corinna; two daughters, Barbara Carrow and Linda Knowles and Chris, all of Corinna; several grandchildren, including three special grandchildren, Robin Carrow of Corinna, Ernest Carrow of Palmyra and John Bailey of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Mary Gray of Dexter; a nephew, Kenneth Bennett and Lill of Hartland; two sisters, Roberta Kelly of Corinna and Selinda Cooley and Gene of St. Albans; and a brother, Wendall Bennett and Marion of Exeter. Graveside memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley, with the Rev. Bruce Hudson officiating. Services are in care of Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna.
