PHILIP RENE FOURNIER – BREWER and BUCKSPORT Philip Rene Fournier, 66, died Oct. 14, 2008, at his Brewer home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 20, 1942, in Biddeford, the son of Rene and Alfreda (Dumas) Fournier. Philip worked for Delta Airlines, retiring after 29 years of service. He is survived by his special friend and companion, Carolyn Preece of Brewer; his sister and her husband, Pauline and Richard Bomeisl of Marietta, Ga.; two brothers, Al Fournier of Alfred and Leo Fournier of Lyman; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Gilda (Grotto) Fournier; and his sister, Mariette Fournier. The family thanks Hospice of St. Joseph for their care and kindness during this difficult time. A celebration of his life will be held noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at 62 Rotherdale Road, Brewer. A service of Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer.
