BANGOR, Maine — Responding to huge demand, the Maine Republican Party announced Tuesday that it has moved Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s rally on Thursday from Bangor International Airport’s maintenance hangar to the larger Hangar 11.

Tickets for the Republican vice presidential nominee were still available Tuesday at any of the five Maine GOP headquarters in Bangor, Caribou, Presque Isle, Lewiston or Portland, or by calling 622-6247.

Maine Republican Party Chairman Mark Ellis had a strong warning for anyone interested in attending: ““I cannot stress this enough, given that we are expecting a very large crowd, please give yourself plenty of time and arrive early,” he said.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. and the rally is expected to start at 9 a.m. Palin is scheduled to speak soon after.
