Police investigate Belfast break-in

BELFAST, Maine — City police are investigating a burglary of a residence on Sorrentino Circle on Sunday afternoon.

Patrolman Howard Dakin said the homeowner returned to his residence at 1 p.m. to find that it had been entered and ransacked.

Entrance was gained through a rear door. Taken in the break-in were DVDs, CDs, a jar containing approximately $80 in change and $25 in rolled pennies. Detective Michael McFadden and Dakin processed the crime scene.
