ROGER A. HARRIMAN

MANCHESTER – Roger A. Harriman passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta, after a brief illness. He was born Nov. 16, 1909, in Prospect, the son of Rufus and Edna (Ginn) Harriman. An engineering graduate of Wentworth Institute, Boston, Roger established a long career in the paper industry. He is survived by his wife, Elmeda Harriman of Manchester; two sons, Douglas A. Harriman and wife, Christine, of Hackensack, N.J., and Timothy W. Harriman and wife, Linda, of Winterport; a granddaughter, Miren Harriman of Winterport; a niece, Roberta Haskell Roy and husband, Peter, of New Market, N.H.; a sister-in-law, Marian L. Robbins of Searsport; and several cousins. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
