AUGUSTA, Maine — An Old Town woman who won the $1 million grand prize in a Maine State Lottery drawing says she and her husband plan to build a home, pay off debt and sock away money for their kids’ college education.

And Amy Oliver says she intends to continue to play the lottery.

Oliver was among hundreds of hopefuls who gathered Thursday at the Augusta Civic Center for the lottery’s Blockbuster grand prize drawing. She was the only $1 million winner, although nine other contestants will each collect $10,000.
