WINWORTH N. ALLEY

BEALS – Winworth N. Alley, 80, died Nov. 5, 2003, at a Jonesport health care facility following a short illness. He was born July 17, 1923, at Jonesport, the son of Jeremiah and Florence (Beal) Alley. A lifelong lobster fisherman, he served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II stationed at Okinawa. He was a life member of the VFW and was a member of Jonesport Lodge No. 188 AF & AM. He is survived by two sons, Arden Alley of Beals and Brian Alley and wife, Bonita of Beals; four grandchildren, William Alley and wife, Ami, Brian Alley, Jr., Ryan and Nicholas, all of Beals; a great-grandson, Gage Alley; a sister, Olive Lenfestey of Beals; an uncle, Romie Alley of Beals and a special sister-in-law, Marlene Alley of Jonesport; a special and dear friend, Lula Faulkingham of Beals. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rubena (Bubar) Alley, March 8, 1999; a brother, Wilbur Alley and a sister, Musette Beal. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport, with Pastor George Woodward officiating. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Sunrise Care Facility, Ocean St., Jonesport, ME 04649. Arrangements are in the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
