WILLIAM ‘BILL’ MULLANE

EAST MILLINOCKET – William “Bill” B. Mullane, 74, of County Street, East Millinocket, entered into rest Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, in Bangor. He was the beloved husband of Edith (Cogswell) Mullane. Born Oct. 18, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. Following retirement as a civil servant with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Bill was involved in many community activities including the American Legion, Habitat for Humanity and St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Family and friends delighted to share in his unique sense of humor and optimistic attitude. Mr. Mullane is survived by three loving daughters, Kathleen Woods and her husband, Dr. Dana, Nancy DiCiaccio and her husband, James, and Naomi Mullane and her husband, Steve Sucy. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Hammond. Bill also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Lauren, Thomas, Monica, James and Katherine; and his special friends, the Blackburn Family, Karen, Barbara, Gail, Rena and their children. Friends are invited to greet the family noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at the R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket. His funeral will leave the funeral home at 2 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m. in St. Peter’s Church of East Millinocket. Burial will follow in East Millinocket Cemetery.
