BANGOR and SAN MATEO, Calif. – William Edward Comer Jr., 61, died peacefully Nov. 15, 2007, sur-rounded by loved ones at his home in Bangor. He was born Nov. 26, 1945, in Bangor, son of William and Leola (St. Germain) Comer. Bill graduated from Bangor High School and Husson College. He served in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, stationed in Moffet Field, Calif., for 21 years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a customer service manager, in Los Altos, Calif., after 32 years of service. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post No. 8 and the Eagles Club, both of San Mateo, Calif. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, walking his dog, Lupine and playing a good card game. Surviving are his twin brother, Martin J. Comer of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a sister, Ann-Marie Comer; and a niece, Melissa Robinson and her son, Noah Robinson, all of Bangor. Also surviving is a longtime special friend, Salvador Ortiz of Bangor and California. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William Sr. and Leola Comer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, in St. Jude’s Chapel at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard C.
