HOULTON – Virginia P. Skehan, 79, died June 17, 2007, at her residence. She was born June 22, 1927, in Houlton, the daughter of James T. and Stella (Chase) Barrow. Virginia was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church, the Council of Catholic Women and Columbus Guild. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family breakfast on Sunday mornings. She loved spending time at their camp, shopping trips with the girls and the Friday morning coffee group. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph B. Skehan of Houlton; four sons, Kevin Skehan and his wife, Chris, of Milbridge, Joseph Ske-han and his wife, Joan, James Skehan and his wife, Lynn, and John Skehan and his wife, Sandy, all of Houlton; six daughters, Barbara Soule of Brewer, Mary Longstaff and her husband, David, of Norway, Jeanne Wypyski and her husband, Bill, of Brewer, Ann McCarthy and her husband, Bob, Teresa Lincoln and her husband, Brent, and Jane Dicki-son and her husband, Brent, all of Houlton; 20 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dana, Donald, Geo-rge and Robert Barrow; one sister, Ruth Toner; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Michael; brother and sister. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Visitation Church with Fr. James Skehan celebrant. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
