VASSALBORO – Timothy E. Foshay, 22, died unexpectedly Sept. 20, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born April 1, 1984, a son of Robert and Ann (Caron) Foshay. He was the second of the Foshay’s 10 children. Timothy had just been discharged in August from the U.S. Marine Corps after serving three tours of duty in Iraq. He was enrolled at the University of Maine – Augusta, as an English major and was looking forward to his college career. He was an avid reader and loved to write poetry and short stories. He also enjoyed writing music, playing his guitar and, during high school, was a member of the Faith Evangelical Free Youth Group Band, playing guitar and singing. Timothy graduated from Waterville High School, Class of 2002, where he lettered in cross-country, indoor track and track and field. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and hiking with his family and good friends. Timothy and his siblings especially enjoyed the once a year backpacking trip to climb Mount Katahdin, organized by their father. He loved to travel and was a devoted Red Sox fan. He had a great dedication to his family and was dearly loved. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a bright, faithful, hardworking young man. Timothy was also a generous and faithful contributor to the mission trips undertaken by his parents and siblings. He attended Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Vassalboro and Faith Evangelical Free Church, Waterville. In addition to his parents, he is survived by five brothers, Samuel of Fort Benning, Ga., Michael, Ethan, Isaac and Titus, all of Vassalboro; four sisters, Haley Pouland and her husband, Jeff, of Waterville, Ariel, Caitlin and Isabel, all of Vassalboro; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Sue Foshay of Washington, Maine, and Alice Keith of Laguna Beach, Calif.; his maternal grandmother, Rita Caron of Westbrook; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Laureat Caron. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, Vassalboro. Burial will be after the service at Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta. A reception will be held at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church after the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Timothy’s name to Team Guatemala, 2579 Riverside Drive, Vassalboro, ME, 04989.
