FORT KENT – Therese Gagnon, 71, died March 9, 2004, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born Jan. 8, 1932, in Soldier Pond, the daughter of Thomas and Claudia (Labbe) Gagnon. She was a member of L’Union St. Jean Baptiste. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Blanche Bouchard of Fort Kent Mills; and a special God child, Steve Gagnon of Fort Kent; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas, in 1951; and her mother, Claudia, in 1956; three sisters, Eva Albert, Bertha Thibodeau, Albertine Voisine; five brothers, Orelien, Emile, Camille, Edmond and Gilman Gagnon; a brother-in-law, Gilman Bouchard. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be held May 21, 2004, in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wallagrass. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the St. Louis Renovation Fund, 26 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
