THEODORE ‘TED’ WALLACE

BUCKSPORT – Theodore “Ted” Wallace, 90, husband of the late Gladys (Bennett) Wallace, died May 18, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born May 5, 1915, in Sangerville, the son of Henry and Cordelia (Reed) Wallace. He worked in the woods as a lumberjack. He moved to Bucksport in 1945, where he and his wife, Gladys, owned and operated a poultry farm for several years. He drove a bus for the Orrington School Department for a few years. He then retired, but his main focus for all those years since 1940 was preaching as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and helping many to learn about the bible. Ted is survived by two sisters in Florida and Maine. A service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2029 Broadway, Bangor. Gifts in Ted’s memory may be sent to the Bucksport Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1295 Center Drive, Orrington, ME 04474. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
