TERESA M. WHITMORE

HUDSON – Teresa M. Whitmore, 86, the wife of George O. Whitmore Sr., died June 16, 2007, at her residence. She was born April 15, 1921, in Massachusetts, the daughter of Joseph and Ellen (Briggs) DeRoche. She spent her lifetime working side by side with her husband, of more than 66 years, caring for their cattle, poultry and farm gardens. In addition to her husband of Hudson, she is survived by five sons, James Whitmore and his wife, Geneva, Hosea Whitmore and his wife, Debra, all of Hudson, George O. Whit-more Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Old Town, Richard DeRoche and his wife, Joann, of Alton and Raymond DeRoche of Milford; two daughters, Priscilla LePage of Hudson and Linda McCrossen and her husband, Steve, of Greenbush; a sister, Isabel Miller of Belfast; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grand-children. Teresa will be sadly missed by her dog, Charlie. She was predeceased by a daughter, Katherine St. Thomas; and two sons, Joe and Albert. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pushaw Cemetery, Hudson, with the Rev. Garnett Chute officiating.
