BLUE HILL – Miss Ruth E. Snow passed on to her Lord on Feb. 10, 2004, at Penobscot Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 20, 1925 in Blue Hill the daughter of John Harold “Babe” and Faith (Roberts) Snow. Ruth graduated from George Stevens Academy in 1946 and had a great fondness for her fellow students. She accomplished much in her life. She took care of her parents in their final illness. She wrote and self published two books with the help of HOME Co-op and dear friends, Clara Judkins and her daughter, Lorraine. She sold Christian books for many years and made many friends, as well as traveled throughout the United States. She visited Disney and other theme places with her friends, Shirley and Dan Danielson. She never missed the Blue Hill Fair, and for many years she helped with the First Baptist Church Sunday School. She felt privileged to have helped with the Ladies Social Library of Blue Hill and was active in Halcyon Grange, North Blue Hill. Her family thanks the may friends and neighbors who helped Ruthie throughout the years. Special thanks to the wonderful people at Penobscot Nursing Home, where she spent the last two years of her life. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
