ROGER D. TRUE

CHARLESTON – Roger D. True, 68, the husband of Joanne (King) True, died Dec. 29, 2007, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born April 9, 1939, in Winterport, the son of Lilla (True) Scribner. Roger attended Bradford schools and graduated from Higgins Classical Institute, Charleston, Class of 1958. He worked as a truck driver for 40 years. Surviving in addition to his wife of 33 years and his mother, both of Charleston, are his children, Roger Flan-ders and his friend, Val, and Paul Flanders and his wife, Tami, all of Dover-Foxcroft, Brian Ireland and his friend, Lisa Roy, of Bangor, Renee Tash and her husband, Tom and Daniel Ireland and his wife, Bridgett, all of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister-in-law, Janice King of Charleston; 10 grandchildren, Haley, Rebekah, Chelsea, Meagan, Jessica, Heather, Angie, Trevor, Spencer and Jacob; a great-grandson, Alex; and a godchild, Tabitha Thomas. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Charleston United Baptist Church. Spring burial will be at Williams Cemetery, Bradford. Arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
