HARRINGTON and BREWER Robert L. Campbell Jr., 61, died unexpectedly, Feb. 12, 2004, at a Bangor hospital with his family at his side, after a brief illness. He was born May 14, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Robert L. and Elaine (MacDonald) Campbell Sr. Robert was an avid fisherman who lived in Harrington for the past 20 years and truly loved the ocean, boating and life on the coast. He also enjoyed woodworking. Robert was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Surviving in addition to his father of Harrington, are five children, Michael Campbell and his wife, Katherine, Laurie Jewell and her husband, John, Diane Crawford and her husband, Jeff, all of Brewer, Scott Campbell of Conway, N.H., Mark Campbell and Amy Cyr of Glenburn; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Campbell, Amanda and Sarah Jewell and Joel Crawford; a special uncle, Richard ‘Dick’ MacDonald of Orrington; and an aunt, Phyllis Beaulieu of Green Lake. He was predeceased by his mother in May 2003 and his brother, Richard in December 2003. Family and friends may visit 12-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joel R. Cyr, pastor of St. Joseph and St. Teresa Catholic Church, Brewer, officiating. Burial will be private. A reception will follow at the Brewer VFW, Center St., Brewer.
