WINTERPORT and NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Richard Raymond Quillia Sr., 73, husband of Dorothy Quillia, passed away unexpectedly June 24, 2006, at his home in Winterport. He was born May 7, 1933, in New Haven, Conn., the son of Eugene and Eva (Ains) Quillia. Richard worked for the railroad for 33 years, retiring from Metro-North Railroad. He enjoyed camping at Outdoor World, Sturbridge, Mass. He and his wife had recently moved to Maine where he enjoyed his final days. Richard is survived by his wife of 37 years of Winterport; three sons, Richard Quillia Jr., Daniel Quillia and his wife, Debbie, Eugene Quillia and his wife, Laura; two daughters, Lorraine Quillia and Diane Ritchie; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosie Hains of Florida. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, Pastor Stephen Nute, pastor of Nealley’s Corner Church, presiding.
