RICHARD P. EDGECOMB LIMESTONE – Richard P. Edgecomb passed away peacefully May 7, 2004, at a Presque Isle healthcare facil-ity, after a long illness. Richard was born April 24, 1919, in Limestone, to Almond and Geneva (Levesque) Edgecomb Sr. He attended school in Limestone and graduated in 1939. Surviving are four sons, Richard A. of Limestone, Dennis of San Diego, Calif., Conrad and his wife, Beverly, of Limestone, Gregory and his wife, Sandra, of San Antonio, Texas; his mother-in-law, Pearl Terrier of Limestone; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Edgecomb and his wife, Wanda, of Limestone; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father; his wife, Marion (Terrier); a son, Steven; and four brothers. Richard farmed in Limestone for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Limestone Masons for 56 years, serving as treasurer for 30 years. He served on the Limestone Board of Selectmen many years, belonged to the Limestone/Caswell Historical Society, was a member of the Limestone United Methodist Church, and was an active member in his Community. Friends and family may attend calling hours from 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2004, at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou. There will be a Masonic Service at the Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at the Limestone United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ellen Cleaves officiating. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory can be made to Limestone United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 2 Burleigh St., Limestone, ME 04750. Following the funeral service a reception will be held at the Church Hall. Interment will be at the Advent Cemetery, Grand Falls Road, Limestone.
