AVON PARK, FLA. and CARMEL – Richard L. Campbell Sr. died unex-pectedly Oct. 16, 2004. He was a retired chief in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by four children, Linda Moore of Louisiana, Carol Campbell and her significant other, John, of Ellsworth, and Sandra Goodkowsky and husband, Karl, of Holden, Mary Stanwood of Brewer; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Dot Forsyth of Brewer; Douglas Campbell of Cherryfield; and a sister-in-law, Betty Campbell of Hampden. He was predeceased by his sons, Richard L. Campbell Jr., Thomas Campbell and George Campbell. Out of respect for our father’s wishes, there will be no funeral or cremation services. He was cremated at Fountain Funeral Home and his ashes were spread onto Lake Jackson in Florida per his request.
