OLD TOWN and ELLSWORTH – Richard A. Tapley Sr., 58, died June 23, 2005, at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Ellsworth, the son of Norman A. and Dorothy (Anderson) Tapley. Richard was a boatswain mate in the U.S. Navy. He was a school bus driver for Cyr Bus Line. Richard was a member of the VFW Post No. 109 of Ellsworth, VFW Post No. 75 of Old Town and the American Legion of Old Town. He is survived by sons, Arthur Lyons and wife, Sarah, Shawn Condon, Albert Condon and Richard A. Tapley Jr., all of Old Town; daughter, Regema Condon, of Glenburn; brothers, David Wilkinson and Paul Wilkinson; sisters, Laura Winn and husband, Dan, Norma Applebee, Linda Wilson and husband, Lou, Louise Handy and Robert Handy, and Evelyn Griffin and husband, Jimmy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held 12-2 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Memorial gifts in Richard’s memory may be made to the Maine Veterans Home, 44 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME 04401.
