CARMEL – Ralph F. Ross, 87, went to be with his beloved Vera, Oct. 7, 2003, at his Carmel home surrounded by his family. He was born March 18, 1916, in Levant, the son of Emerson and Gladys (Carter) Ross. Ralph served in the Army/Air Force during World War II. He worked for Lou Silver for several years and in later years he had his own construction business with his sons. He is survived by two daughters, Alecia McIntyre and her husband, Sony, of Ogunquit, a special daughter, Marie Bryant and her husband, Jay, of Carmel, who lived with Ralph and took excellent care of him for seven years; three sons, Dwaine Ross and his wife, Juanita, Barry Ross and his wife, Reubena, all of Carmel, Dale Ross and his wife, Melissa, of Levant; two sisters, Lillian Ross of Carmel, Viola Brann of Levant; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Vera; two sons, Jerry and Stanley; several brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery, Carmel, with Pastor Timothy Newcomb of True Revival Ministries of Bangor officiating.
