QUENTINE PARADIS

FORT KENT – Quentine Paradis, 85, passed away Feb. 4, 2007, at his home. He was born July 29, 1921, in St. Francis, the son of Louis and Celina (Nadeau) Paradis. He was predeceased by his mother, Celina, at a very young age, having had been raised by his father and Flora (Austin) Paradis, who was like a mother to Quentine and his family. He was a graduate of Fort Kent High School, Class of 1940, and later served in the U.S. Army during World War II in France, Belguim and Germany, from October 1941 to October 1945. He was a life member of the VFW Lozier O’Grady Post No. 9609, Fort Kent. In 1977 he retired as executive director from the Agency on Aging of Presque Isle. Quentine is survived by his wife of 61 years, Leona (Hebert) Paradis; three sons, Irvin Paradis and his wife, Cynthia, of Hallowell, Ryan Paradis and his wife, Marilyn, of Monument, Colo., and Robert Paradis and his wife, Judith, of Logan, Ohio; two daughters, Colleen Baker and her husband, Roland, of Sanford and Marie Bohovich and her husband, Calvin, of Presque Isle; eight brothers, Leo and Kenneth Paradis of Eagle Lake, Roger, Lloyd, Maurice, Ronald, Royden, all of Fort Kent and Clarence of New Britian, Conn.; two sisters, Claudette Gobeil of Saskatchewan, Canada, and Patricia Robichaud of Lewis-ton; 10 grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Mathew and Jesse Paradis, Kathryn Blocker, Graham Baker, Brian and Bradley Paradis, Angela and Anthany Bohovich; three great-grand-children, Grayson and Olivia Blocker and Ryenn Marie Baker, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Claude Paradis; three sisters, Sister Geneva Paradis, Rowena Pattman and Doris Simone. Friends may call 9 a.m. Friday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held May 11, 2007, at Parish Cemetery.
