PHILIP C. YORK MARS HILL – Philip C. York, 73, died Oct. 28, 2003, at a Mars Hill health-care facility. He was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Mars Hill, the son of Clarence and Gertrude (Mahan) York. He was a member of the East Ridge Union Church in Mars Hill. He had been employed by Potato Service, Simplot and McCains. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Ramona R. York; two daughters, Debra Allen and her husband, Frank W., all of Mars Hill, Rebecca Thibodeau and her husband, Raymond A., of West Enfield; two special grandsons, Frank P. Allen and Aaron Thibodeau; a sister, Sandra York Havemann of Margate, Fla.; one aunt, Sarah Burnahm of Mars Hill; several nieces and nephews, including special nephews and a niece, Barry, Jay, David McCrum and Jill; Lunney; great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces. He was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor York and Arlene McCrum. Friends and relatives may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main Street, Mars Hill. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the East Ridge Union Church, Mars Hill, with the Rev. Michael Daily officiating. Interment will be in Kings Grove Cemetery, Mars Hill.
