MILLINOCKET – Pauline I. O’Brikis, 84, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at a local health care facility. She was born Jan. 24, 1920, in Limestone, the daughter of Leo and Alice (Johndro) Caouette. She was a fine homemaker and loving mother, who took excellent care of her family. In her spare time, Paully enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She enjoyed reading spiritual books and daily meditations. Her strong faith and trust in the Lord, helped her get through her trials and tribulations in life. She was a lifetime communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Edmund O’Brikis in 1999. Pauline is survived by one son, Reginald O’Brikis and his wife, Nancy, of East Millinocket; two daughters, Gail Bartlett of Millinocket, and Brenda and her husband, Phillip Tapley, of Millinocket; three grandchildren, Renee and her husband, Caroll Stanley, Jennifer O’Brikis, and Alana Tapley; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jeffrey, and Ryker; two sisters, Dora Cousins and her husband, Ralph, of Millinocket, Theresa Perreault of Caribou; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by many sister’s and brother’s. Pauline will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004 at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Millinocket. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pauline’s memory may be made to the Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462 or to the Katahdin Nursing Home Activities Fund, 22 Walnut St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
